The Amar Akbar Anthony was officially opened by the Lord Mayor of Coventry, in November 2008.
The restaurant is set in a partially-restored 15th Century Grade II listed building.
The restaurant is a fully licensed, air-conditioned restaurant. The spacious dining area and galleried lounge means you can dine and relax in comfort.
The Client wanted a way to reach an online market and wanted to create a way for customers to view there menu online.
The original website was a white page on which a table layout indicating there meals, a fresh new design was created and the menu added which could be manipulated by the client.
A darker colour palette was used a blend of burgundies against lighter burnt sienna to create a warm relaxed feel.
A new specially designed banner was created in Photoshop and placed as a header for the site, along with a glossed navigation bar in a shade of deep red.
The client had recently had a photographer visit the premises to take some shots that were going to be used in a local marketing campaign to help the restaurant grow.
We were allowed to use any of the images, so made it a main feature of the sites homepage, the image showed the restaurants unique decor and atmosphere, a small piece of text was added to it to explain the sites goals and welcome the online customer.
Below dynamic content was added to display the restaurants specials for that day. The manager is still deciding if this feature would be beneficial to the site, but for now is using the feature.
The menu was then added to the site, and displayed in a pleasing form over various pages. The client is looking into adding an online booklet to display the menu in a more customer focussed way.
