The client was an established business in the midlands but wanted an online presence as a way of marketing himself to a wider audience.

Work started by requesting the client to write out his goals for the site.

Not only did the client want an online presence he wanted to explain his methods to make the customer understand the process of his work. Also it needed to equally balance between the clients plumbing and building segments.

We began by creating a layout that would display the two segments of the clients business in a pleasing way.

A two column layout was selected and then an artificial third column was created, content was provided by the client and placed in the site. The text was amended by the client as not to favour one part of the business over the other.

Once the content had been settled, artwork and a colour scheme were implemented.

The client specified his own colours to keep the look of previous logos and business card designs he had. So these colours were added to the layout, and managed to compliment the previous designs and please the client.
